Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance. However, sessions can be paid for with HSA/FSA or credit cards. We can discuss this more in session to help you understand the process.

Can I get reimbursed for out-of-network expenses associated with therapy?
Yes! You can submit your superbill to your insurance company to be reimbursed a portion of the session fee. We can discuss this more in session to help you understand the process.

What are your rates?
We offer a sliding scale for sessions:
Individual Sessions: $175-195
Couples sessions: $225-245

How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Sessions are 50 minutes long (45min for support, 5min for scheduling/billing questions). The frequency of sessions is based on the intensity of your current needs. Most clients start every 1-2 weeks and then space out sessions once their stressors lessen.

I offer virtual-only sessions at this time.

What are your available appointment times?
Session are available on the hour at the times listed below:
Day time: M/T/T/F, 830a-300p
Evenings: M/Th, 5p-8p

What is your cancellation policy?
Sessions must be canceled with over 24hrs notice to avoid financial penalty. True medical/family emergencies are exempt from fees.
Cancelations that occur in under 24 hours must be rescheduled to occur within 1 week of the original session time. If they are not rescheduled, clients owe 100% of the session fee.
No shows will be charged 100% of the session fee.

How do I schedule my first appointment?

What happens in the first session?
The first session is dedicated to understanding your immediate needs, including emotional and physical safety. The following 2-3 sessions are dedicated to forming a support plan that feels manageable and hopeful to you. After the first three sessions, we “dig in” to the bulk of the challenges you would like to explore.

How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?
Any therapeutic relationship should be built on collaboration, mutual respect, and trust. During and after our consultation call, I believe your intuition will help you sense if we will be a successful fit. You are welcome to ask me any clarifying questions about my training, therapeutic approach, and treatment perspectives. If you decide you would like to look elsewhere for support, no hard feelings.

Are you licensed?
Yes, I am licensed as a professional counselor in Pennsylvania only. My license number is PC016909.
I am also a board-certified music therapist. My certification number is 07394.

Do you work with couples, children, or teens?
I specialize in working with adult individuals. I offer limited couples support sessions for existing individual clients. I do not offer therapy to children or teens.
